Las Palmas Budget

I would like the HOA manager/HOA Board to provide to the ownership our annual budget report well in advance of our annual meetings. In the past we have had our meeting, sat down and were given the budget information. A short time later we voted on the budget yes/no. We have not had the sufficient time to review and question the budget issues prior to voting. I would like more rigid checks and balances on the money spending. I would like to see that someone is ding an independent review of the expenditures and making sure that we are getting what we are spending our money on and that we need the things that have been purchased. Money and jobs are getting tighter. In Mexico the dollar is getting stronger and the Peso is dropping hard (14.00 plus pesos to one dollar for the last six weeks). We should be getting more for our money instead of being asked to pay higher HOA Fees. Someone needs to have a tight review on the money being spent and ask questions. Bruce Turner

Since I took on the treasure job in Feb.... I have done lots of auditing both here in USA and Mexico.

the lates I have requested all our bank statemnt from Shannon since we became a HOA. I think that was in 2005.

I am making a Bank statement Binder with all our bank statements and note on all our check that is writen out of our account here in USA.
I am hoping I will get this done by the time my term is up and then I can hand over the binder to next treasure and they can keep up the work....

this way we have established a very good checking system for our funds. and if any owner have a question where our money goes we can say let see.

also the original budget that was given to the board and rejected in Jan was $767,880.00 and the new budget that was aproved in our Jan meeting was $737,747.00 as of end of August we are at$407,723.00
$86,739.00 under budget.

We are hoping we will do some delinquent collections since the meeting was over yesterday. we are right now over 80K in delinquents...

The only way we can keep our due where they are is to collect from all owners..... when there is owners that think they do not need to pay their dues it hurs our community as a whole....

thanks for all you home owners who has been paying you dues and keeping our Community going all this time ...you deserve all the thanks for if all of us would stop paying our dues like some owners we would bankcrupt this community very fast.
